If there are fewer than 14 races this season, a driver may only use two internal combustion engines, two turbochargers, two energy stores and standard electronics packages according to the new FIA statutes. If the number of races falls below eleven, only one energy storage device and one electronics package are allowed.

In addition, it has now been officially announced and stated that the new Formula 1 regulations will not be introduced in 2021, but only in 2022 for cost reasons.
“These technical changes have already received the necessary unanimity from the participating teams,” said the international association: “Further measures will follow in 2021 after discussions with the teams, including homologation of the survival cell (from 2020) and other components.”
Corona crisis in the sports world
