The KPK has arrested former Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL), who is a suspect in an alleged corruption case. Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Karyoto emphasized that the case of alleged extortion by the KPK leadership against SYL was continuing to be investigated even though SYL had been arrested.

Karyoto said the case could not be stopped suddenly without clear grounds. The police, continued Karyoto, are still investigating the alleged extortion.
“Because of this, it is impossible, for example, if we suddenly stop it without any basis. Unless we are stuck saying that there are no elements involved or maybe it is just fraud by certain elements, then we can stop. But if it continues, it has to be until there is “There, according to the material facts of the action, we must continue,” he explained.
“I’m not making any assumptions, later everyone will tell investigators about the results that have been carried out in collecting evidence, both witnesses and other evidence,” he continued.
SYL is one of the suspects in the alleged corruption case at the Ministry of Agriculture. He was arrested KPK on Thursday (12/10).
On the other hand, SYL has also been questioned by the police regarding the alleged extortion case allegedly carried out by the KPK leadership against him. The alleged extortion by the KPK leadership has entered the investigation stage.
Polda Metro has also examined Firli’s aide as a witness regarding this case. The police will also schedule an examination of Firli Bahuri regarding this alleged extortion.
