Former British politician Clegg becomes Zuckerberg’s right-hand man at Meta

Former British politician and Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg takes on a new important position at the top of Meta, the parent company of Facebook. Clegg becomes president of global affairs (global affairs) and in his new position will be directly under CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

Clegg joined Facebook in 2018 as the head of communications and public policy. According to Zuckerberg, he has dealt with some of the company’s most complex problems over the past three years, including shaping Facebook’s content policies, the US elections and the creation of a Board of Trustees.

In 70 percent of the cases that Facebooks own supervisory board – set up by Clegg – in the first year, the online network platform was wrong. The council ruled that Facebook and Instagram wrongly chose to delete posts and comments. An overview of what the first year yielded:
