ACCEPTED, KOMPAS.TV – Former Afghan police chief General Khoshal Sadat said he was ready to return to his country and support the Taliban.
However, the figure who is also a former deputy interior minister of Afghanistan emphasized that there are conditions that must be met.
Sadat wants the Taliban to promise to respect national symbols and women’s rights.
He said he had been in talks with the Taliban regarding his return to Afghanistan.
“If they respect the national anthem, the national flag, women’s rights and people’s freedoms, I will return,” Sadat told the news agency. Pajhwok Afghan quoted from India Today.
“I will declare support for the new government, and return the Afghan air force and special forces under their feet,” he added.
Sadat is a graduate of the British Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst.
The academy is a training campus for British military officers.
He is also a graduate of the United States Army Command and Staff College.
