A fine gesture of solidarity, which will make it possible to finance the purchase of food baskets by the City, in favor of the most vulnerable Dracénois.
And which, in the minds of young firefighters and their elders, has become “obvious”.
“This money has been sleeping for several weeks. So as much as it is used for those who, in these difficult times, need it more than ever”, underlines Captain Philippe Grimaud, who is all the more proud to accomplish this gesture on behalf of the young firefighters.
“In school, their training is not only technical, resumes President Michel Bigorgne. We also instill values in them, of which mutual aid is a part. Helping to bring them to life today is a source of great pride for us … “
And an “exemplarity” that the mayor, Richard Strambio did not fail to greet.
Associations return their subsidy
In Draguignan, associations have also chosen to donate part or all of their municipal subsidy.
This is the case of the “Dracénois Chasseurs” (up to 2,000 euros) or the Provencal Cultural Center (1,800 euros) and the Union of Parents of Pupils of Dracénie.
To help the most disadvantaged
For the past few days, the municipality of Dracénoise has been making food baskets which it redistributes to the most vulnerable families, whose children are enrolled in collective catering.
A hundred households are affected by this operation, partly funded by the return of subsidies, but also by donations.
The association of firefighters having donated 3000 euros to benefit this action.
