First runner-up to Diane Leyre, Miss France 2022, on Saturday 11 December, Floriane Bascou narrowly failed to offer the crown to Martinique for the first time in its history. She joined Véronique Caloc in 1998, Morgane Edvige in 2016 and Camille René in 2013.
Saturday December 11, 2021, at the Zénith in Caen, she participated with 28 other Misses in the national election. The Martiniquaise was part of the top 15 then the top 5 and finally the top 2, beaten by Diane Leyre, proclaimed Miss France 2022.

Floriane Bascou could participate in the Miss World contest under the colors of France, as Véronique Caloc did in her time, first runner-up of Miss France 1998 and first runner-up of Miss World 1998.
The 19-year-old Lamentinoise therefore has the future ahead of her. As a reminder, graduated with a scientific baccalaureate specializing in life and earth sciences, she continued her studies in pre-health option right with the aim of becoming an orthodontist. She will have to slalom between studies and obligations related to her status.
