Five suspects arrested after ram raids at a jeweler in Tubbergen | NOW

The police reported that a ram had been committed at a jeweler in Tubbergen in Overijssel during the night from Friday to Saturday. Five suspects were arrested.

A car drove into the jeweler’s building at Almeloseweg around 5 a.m.

Witnesses saw the vehicle drive away. A little later this vehicle was spotted in the village of Westerhaar-Vriezenveensewijk, about twenty kilometers outside Tubbergen.

A police arrest team (AT) arrested five suspects there. Several warning shots were fired during the arrest, reports the police.

It is not yet known whether something was captured in the ram raids. The police are further investigating the incident and are calling on witnesses to report.

Ram crashes also took place in the night from Friday to Saturday, reports NH News. Around 3.45 am a van drove into a building of the camera store Cameraland. It is the third time that a ram raid occurs at the company.

According to witnesses, the van was registered as stolen. It is not yet known whether anything was captured.
