Five men in police uniforms gang raped a newlywed

MULTAN – Five men in police uniforms raped a newlywed woman in Shujabad district, India. According to the police, the five suspects were robbers disguised as police officers.

The five robbers broke into a house in Shujabad on Wednesday night and gang-raped a newly married woman the previous day.

The robbers also tortured the victim’s husband for resisting.

After attacking the victim, the suspects robbed Rs 125,000 in cash and five tolas worth of jewelry.

Police said a case had been registered against the suspects in which provisions for rape and robbery had been included.

Police, in a statement quoted Geo TV, said the action was taken after a medical examination of the victim proved that she had been sexually abused.

Disclosing more details about the case, police said initial investigations lead to the theory that the woman was not gang-raped due to personal enmity or other motives. The suspects raped the victim during the robbery.
