This Wednesday, December 15, Ye reached a new historic milestone, concerning his Spotify streams. Selon Chart Data, the Chicago rapper is now the first artist in Spotify history to have 10 studio albums that all reach 1 billion streams.
Kanye has nearly 46 million active listeners on their Spotify account each month. Most artists around the world would be happy to see a single song reach a billion streams, but Kim Kardashian’s ex managed to make it happen. 10 times on 10 different studio albums. What’s even more impressive is that more than half of these albums were released before the era of streaming began in earnest..

The only projects that have not yet reached the billion streams are Jesus is King, Kids See Ghosts and the collaboration album Cruel Summer. It means that College Dropout, Late Registration, Graduation, 808s, Yeezus, My Beautiful Dark Twist Fantasy, Watch The Throne, The Life of Pablo, Ye and Donda have reached one billion since their release.
As for his “competitors”, Eminem currently has nine studio albums that have reached over a billion streams each on Spotify and he is tied with Drake. Kanye is therefore number 1 with a very short head.
