ALKMAAR
In Alkmaar, in the night from Friday to Saturday, a fire broke out in or near a car that was parked at the Cornelis Pronklaan. The fire spread to a flat, whereby several people were forced to climb down via balconies. One man had to drop his two-year-old child into the arms of a police officer from the balcony.

Neighborhood officer Bas Wijnen shares on Twitter about the ‘busy night’ and tells how he saw the parents climb down after receiving the child: “Fortunately, the fire brigade was quickly on site.”
The Noord-Holland Noord safety region reports via Twitter that none of the residents of the flat was injured.
