Many films from 2020 will finally be released when the cinemas are allowed to reopen. A look at 2021 in the cinema. Also included: “Matrix 4”, “Ammonite”, a Beatles documentary by Peter Jackson and an action hit with Daisy Ridley.
Whenever in 2021 the Allow cinemas to reopen and people can see films on the big screen again under the necessary corona protective measures: There is a lot of new film material! Also there: Karoline Herfurth’s new comedy “Wunderschön”, a new musical version of “Cinderella”, finally Daniel Craig as Bond in “No Time to Die” and an action film in a dystopian world without women with Daisy Ridley – “Chaos Walking” with Mads Mikkelsen. The latter also plays the leading role in the successful Danish film “Der Rausch” by Thomas Vinterberg, who won four main prizes at the European film tours in December.

In between there are animated films such as “Raya and the Last Dragon” for the whole family, the love story “Ammonite” with Kate Winslet and Saoirse Ronan from England, plus many sequels: “Matrix 4” at the end of the year, “Mission Impossible 7” in Fall and the Marvel adventure “Black Widow” with Scarlett Johansson and Florence Pugh. Steven Spielberg presents his version of the musical classic “West Side Story” shortly before Christmas 2021. And Peter Jackson was allowed to view 54 hours of original film material about the film from the Beatles’ last album (from 1969) and will be the documentary “Beatles: Get Back “to the cinema.
