The Egyptian Football Association agreed to postpone the Smouha match and El Entag El Harby in the sixth round of the league competition.
The match was scheduled to take place tomorrow, Tuesday, before the Football Association agreed to postpone it to January 17th.
A Football Association source told FilGoal.com: “We agreed to postpone the Smouha confrontation and Military Production until January 17 due to Corona virus infections in the Alexandrian team.”
“Smouha has already addressed us in order to postpone the match and the official announcement to agree to the postponement shortly.”
The source revealed, “The postponement is despite the fact that the number of injured players did not reach 16 players, as stipulated in the list, due to the injury of the goalkeeper trio.”
The FIFA regulations stipulated the approval of postponing matches if the number of injured in a team reached 16 players or more.
Faraj Amer, president of Smouha Club, announced that 11 players from the team had been infected with the Corona virus.
Smouha is ranked tenth with six points from five matches played so far.
