Fifth suspect Blankenberge fight arrested, council chamber wants to release one suspect, but public prosecutor appeals

The juvenile suspect has already been sentenced to community service by the juvenile judge. The three adult suspects have been held in jail since the fight. Today they had to come before the Bruges council chamber, which now wants to release one of them under certain conditions. It concerns an 18-year-old Belgian of Guinean descent. “He was given the normal conditions such as a restraining order with the other suspects, as well as a coastal ban,” says his lawyer Yen Buytaert. “That means that he is not allowed to go to the coast for three months,” said the lawyer.
