The business park and three homes of officials of the metal recycling company were searched by the Fiscal Intelligence and Investigation Service (FIOD) and the police. Among other things, the administration, 450,000 euros in cash, three buildings, various expensive sports cars and jewelry were seized.
Main suspect in the case is still in custody
Two company officials were arrested for possession of about ten weapons found in the searches. The Explosives Clearance Service Defense (EOD) has dismantled a container full of partly obsolete ammunition and mortars, which was also found during the searches.
The officials are still suspected of money laundering and violation of environmental regulations. One of the suspects is also still in custody on suspicion of weapons, handling and drug possession.
