A prisoner who escaped from a forensic clinic was caught by the federal police at Freiburg’s main train station.
On Wednesday afternoon, March 15, 2023, the man did not return to the forensic clinic after an unescorted half-hour exit. The hospital staff informed the police, who immediately initiated search measures. At around 10:00 p.m., a federal police patrol found the Nigerian national in Freiburg’s main train station and arrested him. He was then taken to the forensic clinic.
