Game against Real in Munich
“The corona pandemic has also hit Europe hard,” said Bayern boss Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. “Despite all the suffering and problems in Germany, we may be lucky that our health system is resilient in this crisis. However, we too have seen the terrible images from Italy and Spain, both of which have been hardest hit in Europe.”
Depending on the game calendar and especially when soccer can be played in front of spectators again, the three clubs will compete in a group mode. The Real vs. Inter game will be played in Madrid, the Inter vs. FC Bayern game in Milan. From a German perspective, the sporting highlight is the encounter between Bayern and Real Madrid, which is taking place in the Allianz Arena in Munich.
The tournament, which will also be shown on television, is likely to generate a substantial million in revenue. “Sisters, nurses and doctors in particular are doing outstanding things for society during this time,” emphasized Rummenigge.
