Secret revealed: Schumacher is said to be conscious and communicating with his eyes

In December, it will be seven years since the horrific skiing accident in which the legendary Formula 1 driver Michael Schumacher suffered serious brain injuries. His family is anxiously concealing his condition, but now his family friend and ex-wife of the Italian billionaire Flavio Briatore has revealed more details.

Elisabetta Gregoracio let her mouth go during the broadcast of the Italian version of the reality show Big Brother.

“Michael can’t talk, he only communicates with his eyes. Only three people get to his bed and I know them,” said the 40-year-old model and television celebrity.

She also revealed the current whereabouts of the 51-year-old Formula 1 champion. Schumacher receives care in the southwestern part of the Spanish island of Mallorca, in a luxurious Villa Yasmin converted into a private hospital. The residential building with a plot of fifteen thousand square meters was bought by his wife Corinna for more than 800 million crowns from the president of Real Madrid football Florentin Pérez.

Shortly after the accident, Schumacher lay in a special ward of a French hospital in Grenoble, which specializes in caring for patients in a coma. He then spent several months in a hospital facility in Lausanne, Switzerland, and in September 2014, the family had the seven-time world champion transferred home to a family home near Lake Geneva.

It has now been revealed that Corinna has been taking care of her husband in Mallorca for three years. According to one of the surgeons, who spoke on condition of anonymity in a French television documentary TMC, Schumacher is in a vegetative state. “That means he’s awake but unable to respond to stimuli,” the doctor said.

“He’s breathing, his heart is beating, it’s even possible that he can sit down and take children’s steps with help, but that’s probably the maximum. If there’s a chance we’ll see him as he was before the accident? I don’t think so,” the specialist added.
