Maharashtra

About half a lakh farmers from 21 districts of Maharashtra gathered at the Azad Maidan in Mumbai. More than 15,000 All India Kisan Sabha activists arrived in Mumbai from Nashik on Saturday in various vehicles and on foot. As Governor Bhagat Singh Khoshiari went to Goa for the Republic Day celebrations, the leaders of the farmers’ organization could not submit a petition to him.

Gujarat

Hundreds of Gujarati farmers rallied on Republic Day. Madhya Pradesh

Tractor rallies were held in 25 districts of Madhya Pradesh in solidarity with the farmers’ agitation. Authorities opposed the protest with all available police forces, special services and the army. ” Thousands of people from Sioni, Raisen, Rewa, Dhar, Satna, Harda, Barwani, Hoshangabad, Shadol and Shivpuri districts attended the Kydarda function. The protests started after hoisting the tricolor flag in the mandis.

Andhra Pradesh, Telangana

Tractor rallies and demonstrations were held in all the districts of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The demonstrations focused on collectorates and agricultural markets in Khammam, Mahbubnagar and Nalgonda. Following the denial of permission by the police for a rally in Hyderabad, the farmers’ organizations approached the High Court for permission. The rally was held from LB Nagar to Uppalring Road.

Uttar Pradesh

Farmers conduct tractor march in Bakshi Ka Talab area of ​​Lucknow. Thousands of farmers in Sonbhadra, Lakhimpurkheri, Bahraich, Barabanki, Banda and Balia districts also came out in solidarity. Hundreds of farmers from Sitapur, Lakhimpurkheri and Barabanki fled to Delhi but were stopped by police on the Lucknow-Delhi National Highway. Leaders of farmers ‘organizations were detained in most districts of Uttar Pradesh on Republic Day to prevent farmers’ agitation.

Odisha

Thousands of farmers, workers and youth participated in the farmers ‘and workers’ rallies held in 20 districts of Odisha. In addition to the district centers, solidarity programs were held in major cities and block centers. CITU organized a huge vehicle rally at Bona in Sundergarh district.

Tamil Nadu

Rallies were held in district centers demanding the repeal of agricultural laws. The state government had issued notices to tractor owners asking them not to take part in the strike, but to no avail. Solidarity programs were organized in Dindigul, Coimbatore, Thanjavur, Thiruvarur, Thanjavur, Mayiladuthurai, Cuddalore and Salem.

Bengal

In Bengal, farmers and Left Front activists organized tractor rallies and demonstrations in solidarity with the Delhi agitation. Thousands attended in various districts.

The peasants conquered Delhi

Rajasthan – The All India Kisan Sabha led the Kisan Parade which started from the Samara Kendra in Shahjahanpur on the Haryana border. Kisan Sabha General Secretary Ashok Dawale, Vice President Amra Ram, Joint Secretaries Viju Krishnan, KK Ragesh MP, Agricultural Workers Union Jo. Secretary Vikram Singh and SFI President VP Sanu led the parade. Farmer leader Yogendra Yadav and social activist Medha Patkar were also present.

Thousands lined the parade in hundreds of tractors carrying the national flag and red flags. The rally left the protest center at 11 pm. The parade traveled about 70 km along the Jaipur-Delhi National Highway. Stills on 27 tractor trolleys brightened up the parade. Along with agricultural themes, folk art forms and unique dance forms from different states became part of the stills. Kisan Sabha leaders moved to the front in tractors. After that, 27 stills representing various states including Kerala in tractor trolleys. Behind it, in hundreds of tractors, various farmers’ organizations, including the Kisan Sabha, chanted slogans against the Modi government.

Kerala also participated in the parade

Hundreds of farmers’ activists from Kerala lined up at the Kisan Parade in Shahjahanpur. Apart from Kerala, farmers from Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Haryana, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Bengal and UP also participated in the rally. The Kerala delegation traveled in tractors set up by the board which read Kerala. As other states moved in this direction, the official Republic Parade on the Rajpath commemorated the Kisan Parade in Shahjahanpur. People lined both sides of the national highway to watch the parade. People greeted the parade with flowers and garlands of leaders.

KK Ragesh, president of the farmers’ group, who had been staying with the farmers at the strike center for more than 10 days, was driven by a tractor loaded with Kisan Sabha leaders. During his stay at the Samarakendra, Ragesh was trained to drive a tractor. Ragesh also drove a tractor driven by people from Kerala. The MP who came in a tractor was amazed by the parade.

Peace is strength: Samyukta Kisan Morcha

The Joint Agrarian Front thanked the farmers who lined up in an unprecedented manner during the Republic Day Parade. The unacceptable and undesirable events that took place in the meantime are reprehensible. “Such activities are unique to the Joint Kisan Morcha,” the statement said.

Despite all the efforts made by the Kisan Morcha, some organizations and individuals violated the route of the rally and engaged in reprehensible actions. Anti-socials also infiltrated. It has been made clear many times that peace is the greatest strength of this struggle and that moves that harm it must be avoided. The agitation has been going on for six months and for two months on the Delhi border, the statement said.
