Puerto Rican mother found dead in her own apartment in the Bronx – Telemundo New York (47)

NEW YORK – A 66-year-old woman was found dead in her own apartment by New York City police officers Wednesday morning.

Authorities initially responded to a 911 call following a report of an unconscious woman inside an apartment at 1220 Seneca Avenue, The Bronx.

Upon arrival, authorities found 66-year-old Carmen Aponte unconscious in her home.

Aponte, a native of Puerto Rico and the mother of at least one child, is described as a humble and cheerful woman by her neighbors.

At the moment the causes of his death are unknown, an investigation is ongoing.
