Already in previous years, several cases of fraud were detected, when in the middle and at the end of the summer, fraudsters pretended to be buyers of grain or other crops. The villains individually approached the farmers or placed purchase advertisements, offering to buy agricultural products at a price higher than the market price.

The fake buyer then agreed with the seller that upon receipt of the goods, a bill of lading will be signed and payment for the goods will be made within the next few days. Unfortunately, money was not expected either.

According to the police, fraudsters also tend to set up businesses by forging documents and stamps, State police calls for it to be ascertained whether the company offering to purchase their products is on the Register of Enterprises and for how long.

The State Police informs that last year, during the harvest season, farmers were defrauded of products worth 100,000 euros.
