Miralem Pjanic, Barcelona’s new addition to trainer Ronald Koeman, was infected with the corona virus just before his departure to Catalonia. The Bosnian is in quarantine at home and will not travel to Spain for the next fifteen days.
On its own site Barcelona announces the new midfielder, who as part of Arthur’s transfer to Juventus goes the other way, has been tested positive for the virus after he had complaints. As a result, the Bosnian will not be able to travel to Barcelona for the next fifteen days and he will be at home in quarantine, in good health, according to Barça.
The positive test is a downer for Pjanic and Barcelona. Ronald Koeman cannot yet see in the first training sessions under his leadership how the midfielder could fit into his team and for the Bosnian international it also means a false start to his adventure with the Blaugranas. He was tested in Italy on Saturday and will have to wait for his trip to Camp Nou for now.
