KOMPAS.com – The unfortunate fate of an Avanza car driver with the initials RAN (38) died after being attacked by a mob after shouting thieves after hitting a motorcycle.
The incident occurred in the Kayu Tanam area, Padang Regency Pariaman, West Sumatra, Sunday (14/3/2021).
Not only RAN who was the victim of the beatings, his colleague MS (33), who was a passenger of the Avanza, did not escape the mob rampage.
The victim died after experiencing wounds all over his body, while MS is currently still being treated in hospital after suffering injuries and his life can be saved.
After the incident, the police carried out investigations and finally named four people as suspects.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit for the Padang Pariaman Police, AKP Ardiansyah Rolindo, said the incident started when the Avanza car which was then driven by the victim nudged the motorbike at the location.
After nudging, Ardiansyah continued, the victim got out of the car and saw the motorbike’s condition.
However, when going into the car, the motorbike driver immediately shouted at the thief victim.
Residents who heard this, immediately chased and mistreated the victim by beating and stepping on him.
