Facebook has “restricted” the account of the marketing agency Choose Life Marketing without further details. Choose Life Marketing promotes pregnancy centers in the US that do not perform abortions. The aim of the advertising campaigns is to reach women who want to have abortion and to support them in making a decision for the life of the unborn child. Marcie Little, a manager at Choose Life Marketing, gave this in a guest commentary for LifeSiteNews known.

Choose Life Marketing works with Facebook, among others. Advertising banners for the pregnancy centers will be placed there. On October 15, the agency routinely wanted to open their account. She was told that the account was “restricted” because the agency had “violated Facebook’s advertising guidelines”. Facebook did not inform the agency about which guideline had been violated and what the violation was.

Choose Life Marketing staff then checked the advertising guidelines, but could not discover any that their advertising violated. They then made a request to Facebook in which they asked for a check of their account and a possible violation. The answer they received was that it could take a few weeks for Facebook to comply with this request.

The most drastic consequence of the measure of is that Choose Life Marketing will not be able to advertise on Facebook or the Facebook platform Instagram for a few weeks. Marcie Little writes that it is outrageous that Choose Life Marketing is treated like this as a paying customer.
