The European Union (EU) will start early testing of a vaccination certificate system called the Green Digital Pass on 10 May. This was reported by the world media, citing a source from the European Commission (EC).
“The first phase of early testing of the green digital pass system will begin on May 10, involving 19 of the 27 countries,” the source said.
“We expect that the approval will not take long and the practical implementation of the document will begin in June, as expected,” he added.
The Green Digital Pass will include three blocks of information: vaccinations with EU-certified vaccines, the latest PCR tests and cases of COVID-19. The scope of the document is not yet fully defined; it is expected to simplify the sanitary rules for cross-border travel for persons with immunity.
