A strong explosion took place this morning in the center of the Turkish capital, Ankara, TV channels TRGT-Haber and CNN-Turk reported.
The explosion took place near the central Kazilai square around 9:30 am.
Gunshots were heard around the parliament and near the interior ministry.
Many police teams and ambulances have been dispatched to the area. Traffic is cut off.
The cause of the explosion is not yet known. An official statement from the authorities is expected, according to TGRT-Haber TV.
