Explorations between the CDU and the Greens with Kretschmann and Strobl – SWR Aktuell

In Berlin, two people from Baden-Württemberg are sitting across from each other at the probing table on Tuesday. Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann (Greens) and Interior Minister Thomas Strobl (CDU) are jointly exploring coalition options. Both are still convinced that the so-called Jamaica model would be the right one – a collaboration between the CDU, the Greens and the FDP.

Green-black role model for Berlin?

The joint coalition agreement between the Greens and the CDU, negotiated in Baden-Württemberg almost six months ago, is still a blueprint for both of what should be possible in terms of climate protection in the federal government.

However, even with many supporters of this model, the assessment is growing that “Jamaica” in the federal government is only the second option among the desired coalitions.

Green basis for traffic lights
