Excited Man Claims Paspampres Allegedly Abused North Sumatran Residents Wants to See Jokowi

Several men confessed Paspampres allegedly mistreating residents who wanted to see President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). The event is called happening when Jokowi visited Deli Serdang, North Sumatra.

Reported detikSumatra, Thursday (9/2/2023), it was seen that a number of residents were involved in an argument with men who claimed to be Paspampres. The incident is said to have occurred on Jalan William Iskandar Pasar V, which is adjacent to the North Sumatra Provincial Government Sports Hall.

At that time, Jokowi was known to be attending the highlight of the commemoration of National Press Day (HPN) at the GOR. Residents of the Sibolangit campground (Bumpers), Bandar Baru Village, came to the location to be able to see Jokowi.

Lawyers for residents, Tommy Aditya Sinulingga, said that there were parties who claimed to be Paspampres and mistreated residents. At that time, residents wanted to meet with Jokowi to convey their aspirations regarding the Sibolangit Bumper which was planned to be evicted by North Sumatra Governor Edy Rahmayadi.

“So, initially the residents of Bandar Baru Village, in this case, the issue would be evictions by Edy Rahmayadi. So, before the President went to Medan, Mr. Edy made a statement in the media stating that after Jokowi’s visit the community would be evictioned, so that the people of Bandar Baru Village were afraid and worried,” he said.

After waiting for some time, his party received information that Jokowi would not pass through the gate where residents were waiting. AResidents decided to go home. However, when the residents were about to start their cars, suddenly four men claiming to be Paspampres came to the residents. The men then beat one of the residents.
