Ex-Rockstar boss leaked about the never-made Agent

In recent days, interesting information has come to light regarding the Rockstar North game Agent, which was never made for the PlayStation 3.

Obbe Vermeij, former Rockstar technical director, is one fresh blog launched, which leaked inside information about previous developments.

Vermeij worked on GTA episodes from 1995 to 2009, all the way up to GTA IV downloadable content.

The blog revealed that the PS3-exclusive Agent, set in the 70s, originally started as a demo, which entered the full production phase after the demonstration of a vehicle that transforms from a hang-glider-to-a-car-to-a-submarine.

Agent is designed to be a more direct, linear experience, with locations similar to the Hitman games. A ski center in the Alps, a small Mediterranean town, and finally space battles with lasers… Like in a James Bond movie. Unfortunately, the development of the game did not proceed as it should have.

Then came GTA V and the rest is history, the game was never finished.

Also, Rockstar North was working on a zombie thing called “Z”, but then the idea of the game became overwhelming and the theme died out.

The story about the blog then took an interesting turn. Rockstar North told Vermeij not to chatter, so the ex-mastermind remained with himself and his readership, believing that after 1-2 decades it might be possible to pick up the topics.

Rockstar rarely leaks inside information, so it would have been nice to keep Vermeij’s blog hidden, but it looks like the company doesn’t want to go into any uncertainty before GTA VI is announced.

According to the latest state of affairs, Uncle Obbe has completely shot down the blog, but that’s it the internet doesn’t forget.
