Head of the Regional Campaign Team (TKD) Edy Rahmayadi showing off a number of photos of retired TNI and Polri generals supporting the number 1 candidate pair in the 2024 presidential election, Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar.
Through his personal Instagram account, Edy uploaded photos of himself and a number of retired military officers.
They include former Head of BIN Lt. Gen. (ret.) Sutiyoso, former Kabasarnas Marsdya (ret.) M Syaugi, former Deputy Chief of Police Komjen (ret.) Oegroseno and former Deputy Commander General (ret.) Fachrul Razi. Meanwhile, Edy is known to be a former Kostrad Commander.
In his upload, Edy said that the retired military officer and the community were ready for Anies-Muhaimin’s victory in the 2024 presidential election.
“Don’t worry, Mas @aniesbaswedan Gus @cakiminow, all of us, together with the people of North Sumatra and also the people of Indonesia, are ready here for AMIN’s victory. We will make February 14 2024 the moment of National Change Day,” wrote Edy.
It is known that a number of retired military and police generals have joined the success team (timses) for the presidential and vice presidential candidates in the 2024 presidential election.
Apart from pair number 1, there are several names in team pair number 2, including former ABRI Commander General (Ret.) Wiranto to two former National Police Chiefs, General (Ret.) Sutanto and General (Ret.) Sutarman.
Then the Ganjar-Mahfud camp recruited former TNI Commander General (Ret.) Andika Perkasa and former Deputy Chief of Police, Komjen (Ret.) Gatot Eddy Pramono.
