An illegal party organized on Saturday evening, August 22, in Peru, ended in massive loss of life.
As reported media, residents of the Los Olivos area reported to law enforcement that a noisy party was taking place at the local club.
because of situations with coronavirus such events are still banned in Peru, so police officers arrived at the scene to suppress the violation of the law.
The party’s attendees, which, along with the staff, had accumulated about 120 people, noticed the guards and ran away through the only door leading to a narrow staircase.
In the crush that arose, 13 people were killed, three more were injured. In addition, three police officers were injured while trying to help the dying people.
Law enforcement officers emphasize that weapons and special equipment that could provoke panic were not used.
The incident is currently being investigated, 23 people were detained.
