Almost two months ago, both Princess Märtha Louise (49) and half the kingdom were surprised when Durek Verrett came to visit Norway.
The couple had then been apart for half a year due to the corona pandemic, but could thus be reunited with Märtha Louise herself, in Lommedalen in Bærum.
Reveals the ultimatum he gave Märtha
Verrett came to visit on the occasion of his girlfriend’s birthday in September, and now it is he who is to be celebrated. On Tuesday, he will be 46 years old.
– The children woke me up this morning with breakfast in bed and presents before they went to school. It was very beautiful, Märtha was there too, he says to Dagbladet.
– I get a massage that I look forward to, then I will spend the rest of the day with my girl, he adds.
In the stable
Last year, the two celebrated his birthday with mutual friends London. Then the princess had surprised him with a show inspired by “Mamma Mia”. This year, Verrett, like everyone else, must tone down the birthday celebration.
Märtha Louise has shared a photo of her boyfriend on Instagram’s story function, where she writes the following:

Since the end of September the two have had a lot of long-awaited boyfriend time, and they have shared several moments together in the last month.
Among other things, they had dressed up in the same costume on Halloween, and showed off his playful page on Instagram.

The couple has had a distance relationship since they announced the relationship in May last year, but now they live together outside the capital. How long Verrett will stay here is unknown, but it became clear last week that the two are ready to take the relationship a step further.

In a major interview with the magazine Vanity Fair The 46-year-old revealed that he had asked the royal couple to be allowed to propose to Märtha Louise.
He had plans to go down on his knees during the couple’s vacation in Hawaii, but due to Ari Behn’s sudden death, this was pushed aside.
Märtha Louise and Verrett have also talked about what it has been like to enter into a relationship when she has three children.
Touching tribute to the girlfriend
The 46-year-old has previously said that he would commit to Maud Angelica (17), Leah Isadora (15) and Emma Tallulah Behn (12) to make the relationship work.
That Verrett has fallen in love with his girlfriend’s children has been clear, and several times has he praised them on social media.
