Dubai: Dubai Police has announced that residents and tourists can use the on-the-go service at petrol stations to report crimes and complaints. The service was made available in collaboration with petrol companies Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC), Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and Emarat. Currently, the service is provided at 138 petrol stations in the emirate. 4867 employees from 11 organizations like ENOC, ADNOC and Emarat have been assigned to assist customers. Reporting procedures related to minor car accidents, insurance and lost and stolen property can be easily completed through the service. On-the-go service is charged at AED 150. The service is free for senior citizens, determined persons and pregnant women. Lieutenant Majid bin Saeed Al Kaabi, Head of On-The-Go Service, said this is the first initiative in the world to provide police services at petrol stations. The aim is to improve security, reduce the number of visitors to the police station and increase public-private partnership by introducing innovative systems for reporting violations.
