On Saturday night, a driver who was driving drunk and at high speed through the streets of Providencia hit the wall of the chef Connie Achurra’s house, destroyed the infrastructure and almost ended up in the patio of the house, very close to the bedroom where the victim was watching a movie with her daughters.
According to a CNN Chile dispatch, two people were traveling on board the machine without mask (mandatory according to the law) and with evident alcoholic breath, which was noticed by the emergency and police personnel who came to the site.
According to Captain Manuel Badilla, from the Prefectura Oriente, both were detained and referred to the Salvador Hospital to verify their injuries and carry out the required blood alcohol level.
Achurra went out to regret the fact through their social networks, where they not only condemned the decision of the detainees, who threw expletives after the impact; but also regretted that this happened under a context of health emergency.
“And while the hospitals are collapsed with beautiful people trying to save others, while there are common pots that are pure love, networks of neighbors, friends, fairgrounds, entrepreneurs, teachers and pure pretty people who try to make this whole situation less painful, there are shitty people going out on curfew to taxi, in quarantine, and drives through small streets as if they were racetracks without giving a damn if it can harm others, ”he launched.
According to the Instagram post, Achurra stated that the car was “almost inside” her patio and “a meter and a half from my bed where I saw a movie with my daughters.”
