The Institute of Civil Aviation, (IDAC), reported that after coordinating with the Ministry of Defense the use of drones in the area of the Plaza de la Bandera, has decided to allow these electronic devices to be flown only during the development of the so-called Trabucazo 2020.
On Wednesday afternoon, IDAC had reported that the use of aircraft, including remote pilots or drones, was prohibited in the vicinity of the Ministry of Defense.
“Drones and other aircraft will be prohibited from flying on a perimeter that covers about two kilometers around the Ministry of Defense, which is consigned as the prohibited zone MDP-3 in the publication of aeronautical information of the Dominican Republic, section ENR6.3- prohibited, pestringidated and dangerous areas ”, explained the institution in a statement, a measure that was rectified hours later to allow its use in the activity.
For this Thursday, February 27, a large mass concentration for respecting democracy is being convened in the Plaza de la Bandera, on Avenida 27 de Febrero, where organizers expect at least one million people to attend.
