Dominika Gottová after Christmas in Finland: CRYING FOR HUSBAND’S FAMILY!

Do you have important wishes or resolutions until 2023?

“I am happy with my life… So my only wish is that the contentment and happiness continue and that nothing goes wrong.”

How did you spend Christmas?

“Very pleasant, Tim and I were with his mother and her husband, who is a very good cook. Also Tim’s brother Tero and his daughter Nina were there. Tero was there with his girlfriend Laura from Puerto Rico, with who have a beautiful long distance relationship: he goes there, she goes here. And because they thought they wouldn’t practice it forever, they decided to get married. He proposed to her beautifully under the Christmas tree in front of us and he gave her a diamond wedding ring. It brought tears to my eyes… Laura will be his third wife, which she and Tim have in common because I am also his third wife.’

What was served for dinner?

“We had traditional Finnish Christmas food, which is bone-in ham slow roasted in the oven, which is then coated in mustard and breadcrumbs and put back in the oven for another 20 minutes to form a crispy crust. potatoes are sweetened. Starters included fresh salmon and herring in various marinades and three Christmas cakes. So we left stuffed…” (laughs)

Have you prepared any Czech Christmas specialties?

“I only made homemade potato salad and fried schnitzel on New Year’s.”

Did you also remember your father?

“Of course! And we also talked to Tim about him, what a wonderful Christmas it was with him. Dad always had full days of errands for visits, then he would go to Lucca’s sister and finally to us until nine in the evening. I counted the hours all day until it’s nine.”

You now have exams for a new position in the security field. You are scared?

“Maybe I’ll find a completely different new job. Timo will start his own company at the end of March, after a tour in South America. His management will handle the things related to his tours and his records, as well as the production and mixing. So Timo was saying it’s possible I could work for him, which would be great. Working quietly at home for your family is a dream job.”

Unlike the Czech Republic, you have a nice winter in Finland. How do you handle it?

“If I don’t have to go to school or to the shop, I don’t leave the house in winter, I’m curled up like a dog under the table. But I want to say something essential, that even if it’s a harsh winter here, after the problems that a person lived in life, this is actually a secondary thing, the essential thing is to be happy, satisfied, have a family and have a place to go back to».

Now it comes up around ten in the morning and it gets dark around three in the afternoon, right?

“Yes, that’s why Tim and I go to bed early in the winter. We planned to have a New Year’s toast at midnight, but we already had drinks at half past ten and went to bed.”

He can’t wait to go to the garden

Dominic’s mother Antonie Zacpalova (86) was very ill recently, had a bad flu. But better news has finally arrived in Helsinki. “By her standards, she recovered relatively quickly. She’s also been sick for a month, but she’s fine now,” he said. Gotova. “I’m really looking forward to seeing her. But I’d like to appear in my home country when the weather is more favourable, when it’s not cold, so that I’m not confined to just restaurants and hotels. So that I can walk around beautiful Prague and sit somewhere in the garden…”
