Van Gaal’s portrait can be seen on Netflix in Germany since November. “Louis van Gaal is one of the most outstanding personalities in European football and we are thrilled to show our viewers the personal side of this iconic manager,” wrote Netflix.
Documentary maker Geertjan Lassche closely followed Van Gaal for three years, during his work and in his private life. The viewer sees Van Gaal with football stars from home and abroad, but also gets an insight into his life at home through conversations with his wife and daughters.
