Do not be surprised! Russia reveals who profited from the Ukraine war

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The war between Russia and Ukraine has caused a crisis in the world. This is because both countries are important sources of food and energy for the world.

Even so, Russia accuses there are parties who actually benefit from this war. That party is the United States (US). This was conveyed by the Secretary of the Russian Security Council, Nikolay Patrushev.

In a press statement, Patrushev said financial institutions and some US companies were using sanctions against Russia as a stepping stone to expand in Europe. “The US is using the conflict in Ukraine to expand its economy,” he said.

Patrushev said that under current conditions, the European gas market segment has been controlled by Uncle Sam’s country companies. Not only energy, the US is also said to have a strong interest in semiconductors and other high-tech sectors in Europe.

As is well known, Russia is a significant supplier of energy to Europe, especially natural gas. However, after the conflict in Ukraine, the Blue Continent embargoed gas along with Russian oil and coal. In fact, some of them decided to cut off Russia’s energy supply entirely within the next few years.

According to critics, the US is interested in forcing Russian gas out of Europe and replacing it with its more expensive liquefied natural gas. Washington is said to have urged European countries to slow down trade with Russia.

Western sanctions led by the United States (US) against Russia itself continue to pressure the Red Bear Country to stop its military action in Ukraine. Moscow has been attacking Kyiv since February 24 on the pretext of demilitarizing the country.
