District 6 of Bobo: the division of 5 hectares in Samagan concerns the special delegation

District 6 of Bobo is holding its first ordinary session of 2024 from February 28 to 29, 2024. During the work, discussions will focus, among other things, on the district’s amending budget.

The budget of district 6 of Bobo-Dioulasso for the year 2024 amounts to 120 million FCFA. It is devoted to operation and investment. In terms of investment, the amount mainly takes into account priority actions in the areas of health and education. According to the president of the special delegation of district 6, Salimata Sinaré/Compaoré, “on the education side it is a question of providing certain schools with table-benches and boreholes. Schools will also be equipped with fences to keep teachers and students safe. Because a school without a fence, you expose not only the lives of the students but also that of the teachers.” In the health sector, the special delegation plans the construction of a CSPS in Samagan on a site of approximately 5.5 hectares. But the problem is that the land has been acquired since 2017 by the district. The PDS explains that, “initially a health center was planned on the site. Subsequently, we changed the destination to allocate this same land to the municipal police but it turns out that currently, the district has received from the ministry, the offer to build a health center in the same sector. We made the approach, we contacted the various resource people. Unfortunately, we were unable to find another site for our health center. So we returned to this same site and we are currently going to submit the question to the delegates and it is up to them to decide. Either we take the entire site for the health center or we divide it into two parts, giving part to the municipal police.” In addition, district 6 plans to standardize the Moami CSPS with the construction of a maternity ward. In all cases, the Salimata Sinaré/Compaoré PDS ensures that everything is done to improve the lives of citizens in all sectors and all seven attached villages as decided in the district’s action plan. .
