Disappointed with the results of the 2020 Styria MotoGP, Rossi Forces Yamaha to Do This: Okezone Sports

SPIELBERG – Finishing in ninth is not the desired result Valentino Rossi when appearing at the MotoGP Styria 2020. However, in fact these results were the best achievement that the Doctor – the nickname Rossi – could do when he was racing the fifth series of MotoGP 2020.

The thing that made Rossi even more disappointed was that his achievement of finishing in ninth place was the best result achieved by Yamaha when he arrived at the Red Bull Ring Circuit on Sunday, August 23, 2020. Of course this further proves that Yamaha is really behind other teams.

Rossi did not want this to continue. Therefore, Maverick Vinales’ teammate asked Yamaha to clean up and prepare as best as possible for the next race, which will take place at the Misano Circuit in the title of the 2020 San Marino MotoGP race.

There is still a two-week break for self-reflection, both from Rossi and the Yamaha crew. He asked that the incident at the Red Bull Ring Circuit, Spielberg, Austria not to happen again at Misano.

Moreover, Rossi admitted that the Misano Circuit was one of his favorite tracks on the 2020 MotoGP calendar. When looking at the results of last season, Rossi felt that Yamaha should be able to perform well at the 2020 San Marino MotoGP race, which took place on September 13, 2020.

Rossi hopes that Yamaha motorbikes can appear competitive at the Misano Circuit. Because he already missed seeing many Yamaha riders, including himself, of course, standing on the podium.

“Now we have to work (even harder) and hope on other tracks, such as the Misano Circuit. We have to be more competitive, ”said Rossi, quoting the official Yamaha MotoGP website, Monday (24/8/2020).

“I live very close to the circuit, so it was easy for me to get to the track. We certainly hope to be more competitive there, because last year we were very strong. We hope to fight for the top position again this year, ”added the 41-year-old racer.

What Rossi said that Yamaha was strong enough at the San Marino MotoGP race last season was not wrong. There are at least four Yamaha riders (two more from Petronas Yamaha SRT) who are in the top five.

Two of them who were able to finish on the podium were Maverick Vinales who ended the race in third position and Fabio Quartararo who finished as runner-up. The four Yamaha riders were only faster than the Repsol Honda rider, Marc Marquez, who was able to come out as winners of the 2019 San Marino MotoGP.
