The midfielder will not participate in the next two World Cup qualifying matches due to a discomfort suffered against Ukraine.
N’Golo Kante will return to Chelsea this Friday after being excluded from the campus of France, for duels against Kazakhstan and Bosnia-Herzegovina, for a hamstring injury.
The 29-year-old played the full 90 minutes of Les Bleus’ 1-1 draw with Ukraine in their first Group D match at the Stade de France on Wednesday.
However, Kante suffered a minor injury late in the game and will now be evaluated by Chelsea, who have key matches in three competitions in April.

A statement posted on the French Football Federation website on Thursday said: “The Chelsea midfielder felt pain in the hamstring of his left thigh at the end of the game against Ukraine. On Thursday he had clinical and radiological examinations, which revealed a small injury. “
“In consultation with Dr. Franck Le Gall, national coach Didier Deschamps has decided to put N’Golo Kante back at the disposal of his club on Friday,” the text added.
Deschamps opted not to call in a substitute midfield for Kante ahead of matches with Kazakhstan on Sunday and with Bosnia-Herzegovina three days later.
Chelsea face West Brom in the Premier League on April 3, before facing Porto in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final on April 7. Additionally, Thomas Tuchel’s men also have an FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City in three weeks.
