Died in a tractor accident

Ianto Jenkins died in early August after being hit by a tractor. He was out playing with his sister and cousin, outside a farm in Pembrokshire, Wales, writes The Independent.

According to the newspaper, he must have been out cycling when the tractor suddenly drove into him. The three-year-old was pronounced dead when ambulance personnel arrived at the scene.

Dyfed-Powys police spokesman Hayley Rogers has previously confirmed the accident.

– Nothing wrong

Two days ago, Ianto’s grandmother Meinir Jenkins spoke to the British newspaper about the tragic incident.

He (the father who is supposed to have driven the tractor, journ.anm.) Heard the sound of him hitting something, stopped and went out to take a look. There lay Ianto on the ground, motionless. It was heartbreaking, Meinir told The Independent.

Grandmother is aware that no one is to blame after the painful incident, as she believes it is quite clear that it was an accident:

– This is an accident that no one should be blamed for.

Mora’s heartbreaking words

Three days after the death, the Jenkins family sent out a tribute in memory of Ianto, through it local police.

– Ianto was my blue-eyed boy and an inspiration in life. He was a kind little boy, who always smiled and laughed. His best friend was big sister Seren, who always had him by his side, his mother Chloe Picton said in the press release from August.

– Ianto loved going to kindergarten and was excited to start his first day at school in Ysgol Beca in Efailwen in September. He loved being out on the farm, riding in the tractor with Dad.

Furthermore, the mother has expressed that she and her son had a strong bond:

– He was my little boy and always by my side, wherever we went, now it is taken from me. No parent should lose their child.

The police routinely began investigating the case after 3 August. However, the investigation was postponed for four months by acting forensic pathologist Paul Bennett, who has sent his condolences to the family.

The father himself has not commented on the accident.
