‘Movie days’ will unveil this Friday the full record of the VIII edition of the Dias de Cine Awards: the films and interpreters, national and international, which, in the opinion of the drafting of the program, have been the best of 2020. Also in this special program, it will be known which is the winning documentary. The awards will be delivered on January 20.
Two weeks ago the winners were announced in some categories: the Life in Shadows Award, for ‘Dear Werner’ (Pablo Maqueda); the award for the best DVD / Blu Ray edition, for ‘Women make films’by Mark Coussins (Avalon); Chosen for Glory Award, for Veronica Forqué; The Shining Award, for Milena Smit (‘You shall not kill’); the A Star is Born award, for Carmen Arrufat (‘The innocence’); The Future is Woman award, for Lucia Alemany (‘The innocence’); the Somos Cine award for ‘Words for an end of the world’ (Manuel Menchón); and the Audience Award, also called #CulturaSegura, has been for Santiago Segura.
The films that have entered the voting are those released before December 4.
Review of the premieres
The program directed by Gerardo Sánchez will remember that this Monday they were fulfilled 125 years of the first public screening of the Lumière brothers.
And there will be room for the premieres of last week and this one. Titles like ‘The father’, ‘Perfumes’, ‘Saint Maud’ O ‘Family photo’. The program will be dotted with memories of some of the guests, godparents and godmothers, who throughout this 2020 have passed through ‘Movie days’.
