DHL with big problems: That is why complaints about parcel delivery are increasing

In Bavaria there was such an exception on Sunday, April 19, for the first time in DHL’s history: Around 400 employees were on the road to deliver more than 50,000 parcels to private households, the company said. The Bavarian Ministry of Labor has given a corresponding permit. With the campaign, transport capacities of around 50 truckloads have been freed, the company said.

BVOH is still angry with DHL. “It cannot be accepted in any way that DHL is unable to properly plan capacities in the current situation,” criticizes Prothmann. “SMEs in online retailing also had to make extreme adjustments to meet consumer needs. There are no excuses for lack of transport or human resources. This can only be a matter of bad planning.”

So far, the relaxation that was hoped for by the easing has not yet occurred: the opening of many smaller shops has so far not significantly reduced the demand for products from the online trade.
