Sony has shown a video featuring emerging finger tracking technology for the new VR motion controller, possibly the PlayStation Move 2.

The video accompanies new research paper titled “Evaluation of machine learning methods for calculating brush movement on a portable device with a touch sensor.

Sensors in the controller can determine when the user squeezes the device with all fingers, and when played with individual fingers. The technology does not need to use an external scan to track the position of the fingers.

Also in the video you can see testing for hands on which the watch and rings are worn: everything works perfectly.
