Demonstrations bringing together dozens of people were organized Thursday evening October 29 in Toulouse and to Castres to denounce the reconfinement which comes into effect overnight from Thursday to Friday at midnight.
In Toulouse, 120 people came to the iconic Place du Capitole, opposite the town hall, to protest against government measures, according to the Haute-Garonne prefecture.
“Still standing, tomorrow on my knees”
In Castres, sub-prefecture of Tarn, the demonstrators, mainly traders and local business leaders gathered behind the banner “Still standing, tomorrow on my knees”, asked to maintain their activities, noted an AFP photographer.
“People will meet at 20 or 30 at home to party and pass on the Covid and in three months rebel”, regrets the organizer of the rally, Davy Caravaca.
According to the police, there were 90 demonstrators at the height of the mobilization.
