NEW YORK – The body of a badly decomposed man was found floating in the East River off the Bronx Sunday, police said.
Officers who responded to a 9-1-1 call about a partially submerged body removed the deceased man from the water near the Throgs Neck Bridge around 12:30 p.m. Sunday.
Police said the body was in an advanced state of decomposition. The man’s identity has not been disclosed.
The coroner will determine the cause of death.
