Wednesday, June 23, a lifeless man in his 50s was picked up by the sea at Fyksesund bridge in Kvam municipality in Hordaland. It turned out to be the same man who was reported missing two days earlier.
It confirms the west police district in a press release Monday afternoon.
– On Monday, June 22, a rescue operation was initiated after a man in his 50s in the Vallavik area and out to Tjoflot. The rescue operation lasted all Monday with no discoveries, it is written.
The rescue operation went in search of the presumed dead person the following day, and a beach search was conducted in the area without any discoveries.
On Wednesday, police received reports of a so-called lifeless man in the sea near the Fyksesund bridge.
– The man was picked up by the sea and identified. It is the one man that was searched for in the Vallavik – Tjoflot area on Monday 22 June.
The man’s relatives have been notified.
