The scorvipontaine branch of the association of blood donors in the sector, which brings together Pont-Scorff, Cléguer, Caudan, Gestel and Guidel has a new manager. Danielle Richier took over from Marie-Hélène Le Nadan. Danielle Richier has been a Scorvipontaine for eight years and has been involved in the association since she could not continue to donate blood. She became its secretary in August 2019. “It’s an association that speaks to me: I was a donor for fifteen years. The activity is not time-consuming while having an essential role for the sick, ”indicates the new manager who can count on a dozen volunteers within the branch. “But we are never too much”.
A call for goodwill
She therefore launches an appeal for goodwill. “No need to be a donor, you just have to devote a little time to it during the four annual collections (February, April, October and December) either upstream for the display or for the snack service. We have set up time slots of one and a half hours ”.
A collection on February 8
Another call launched by Danielle Richier, the mobilization for the next collection which will take place on Monday, February 8, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the multipurpose room of Pont-Scorff.
This Monday, February 8 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., the first 2021 blood drive takes place in the town. 65 donors are expected. To donate blood, you must be between 18 and 70 years old and weigh at least 50 kg, have no flu symptoms and have proof of identity. In order to avoid waiting times and to welcome donors in the best sanitary conditions, collection is only done by appointment. You can register, even until the last minute, on the website: dondesang.efs.sante.fr under the heading “Online appointment” or on the “Don de sang” application. “Of the available slots, only half are occupied for the moment. We therefore count on the mobilization of the public ”, indicates the person in charge.
A certificate in order
Danielle Richier also specifies that you must bring an exceptional travel certificate mentioning assistance to vulnerable people if your donation requires you to return home after 6 p.m. It is possible to donate blood after an injection of the covid-19 vaccine, without any postponement period.
