Yesterday, the Polish developer studio CD Projekt – under the motto Night City Wire – beamed a half-hour presentation on the highly anticipated role-playing game Cyberpunk 2077 and landed with the announcement of the animation series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners a direct hit with the enthusiastic spectators. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners arises from a cooperation between CD Projekt, Netflix and the Japanese animation studio Studio Trigger, most recently at Little Witch Academia and the animated opening sequences of the two video games Indivisible and Shantae and the Seven Sirens was involved.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is one ten-part animation series, whose story takes place in the same universe as Cyberpunk 2077, but tells an independent story. The anime has been in the planning and development since 2018 and comes – among other things – from the pens of some developers of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Cyberpunk 2077. The soundtrack, however, is from Akira Yamoaka contributed, who was responsible for the musical support of the Silent Hill series in the past. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is said to be in the year 2022 are available for Netlix subscribers. You can find the announcement trailer with the voices of the producers here:
Of course, the actual star of the presentation could not be missing on the evening: the action-packed role-playing game Cyberpunk 2077. During the presentation, some developers and involved people from the successful Polish developer studio talked about the Development and content by Cyberpunk 2077 and presented a two-minute trailer in which brand new game material was shown with improved and more sophisticated graphics. Bevor Cyberpunk 2077 am 19.11.2020 we will see the light of the video game world IGN at least one more “Night City Wire“-Presentation / episode before. If you are interested, we will of course keep you up to date on the news shown there about the upcoming role-playing game.
