Culture – Ludwigshafen am Rhein – Medienanstalt simplifies live stream and drive-in offers – Culture

Ludwigshafen (dpa / lrs) – The Rhineland-Palatinate Media Authority wants to support live stream offers during the corona crisis through a simplified display procedure. This could include religious and cultural content or educational offers, as a message from Tuesday shows. According to its own statements, the media agency issues the necessary broadcasting safety certificate free of charge to initiatives that want to revive the safe distance of the drive-in cinema for film fans. “We are pleased about the creative dynamics that the lockdown has triggered in the state,” said Marc Jan Eumann, director of the Rhineland-Palatinate Media Authority. A number of requests for the organization of a drive-in cinema have been received in the past few days.

A special regulation for the live transmission of events on the Internet has been in effect since the end of March and has now been extended to August 31, 2020. According to the media agency, the only prerequisite for live streaming is an informal notification by email. The corresponding form and a leaflet with further information can be downloaded from the website of the media agency.
